He emphasized that NMU represents an advanced model of fourth-generation universities, integrating smart education, applied scientific research, innovation, community service, and sustainable development.

Professor El-Khouly highlighted the university’s philosophy as both a smart and research-driven institution, underpinned by a comprehensive digital transformation strategy and advanced electronic systems that enhance academic and administrative efficiency, ensure quality outcomes, and create a competitive learning and research environment aligned with international standards. He also showcased the university’s strong research capabilities and advanced infrastructure, positioning NMU as a promising institution capable of attracting impactful international partnerships.

Discussions during the meeting focused on expanding academic and research collaboration, including student exchange opportunities, joint research projects, externally funded research initiatives, and the potential development of dual-degree programs in areas of mutual interest—further strengthening the international dimension of NMU’s academic offerings.

The meeting was attended by several deans and academic program directors, reflecting the university’s institutional commitment to international partnerships and the integration of such collaborations into its strategic academic and research plans.

The visit program included a tour of the Robotics Lab at the Faculty of Computer Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, followed by a visit to the Central Research Laboratories, where the delegation explored the state-of-the-art facilities supporting interdisciplinary research.

The delegation also toured the Central Library, the Faculty of Dentistry, including its teaching clinics and simulation laboratories used for hands-on student training. At the Faculty of Medicine, they visited lecture halls, laboratories, and clinical skills labs, and attended a presentation on the activities of the Medical Students’ Scientific Association and its initiatives that promote research engagement and skill development among students.

On the sidelines of the visit, an expanded meeting was held with the Faculty of Medicine, attended by Professor Ghada Helal, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit.
