Starting weekly training for Computer Science and Engineering students - New Mansoura University in preparation for the ICPC competition

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Moawad Mohamed Al-Khouly, President of the University, and the leadership of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Fathi Moawad - Dean of the College, and the supervision of Dr. Aya Al-Zoghbi - Leader of the ICPC Family at the University, training of the Newcomers group for the International Programming Competition ICPC began.

About 290 college students are being trained in preparation for the qualifiers to participate in the international programming competition, which is held annually under the supervision and organization of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in Alexandria during the summer vacation. The training includes explaining and applying the C++ language and how to use it to solve problems.

Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Fathi Moawad, Dean of the College, participated in one of the training sessions, where he welcomed the trainer and motivated the students to take an interest in this important competition, and stressed the keenness of the College and the University to provide all means of support until we reach the desired goal of the training.

During the participation, Professor Aya Al-Zoghbi, the family leader, stressed the importance of this type of competition in the life of every student, which contributes to improving their ability to think and innovate under time pressure. She also emphasized the excellence of the college students, which was reflected in their eagerness to attend this training despite the examination conditions.

The training is provided by Eng. Abdulaziz Nasser, lecturer for the ICPC community at Assiut University and the international coach for ICPC competitions, as the Assiut team is a role model for the advanced positions it has achieved.

The College of Computer Science and Engineering always seeks to achieve the university’s vision under the patronage of the university’s president, Professor Dr., by having its students obtain a high level of student training and scientific seminars and by providing distinguished services on a global level, which contributes to strengthening the university’s name and raising the level of its students.
